Bored piers are cast-in-place concrete piles formed by augering a hole, placing reinforcement and pouring concrete — strong, versatile and suited to most Melbourne ground and to large loads. Screw piles are steel piles wound into the ground, better for lighter loads and fast, low-vibration installs. We advise which suits your engineer’s design and site.
